VC4467 EXview

Vision Components has extended its VC Optimum camera line, adding a model that is especially suited for tasks requiring high light sensitivity. The VC4467 EXview features an EXview HAD CCD sensor from Sony, which enables the camera to analyse long wavelength light near the infrared spectrum, thereby ensuring very precise image recording.

The CCD sensor has a 1,280 x 1,024 pixel resolution and provides a maximum frame rate of 14fps (28fps in binning mode). Equipped with an integrated 1GHz processor from Texas Instruments, the VC4467 EXview has a computing power of 8,000MIPS. It executes even complex image processing routines, thereby rendering traditional PC stations unnecessary.

Standard camera models are equipped with 4MB Flash EPROM and 64MB SDRAM for program and picture storage, which can be optionally extended with a 128MB SD card. Additionally, the smart camera comes with an RS232 and an Ethernet interface, a high-speed encoder interface and an external trigger input that enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies. Standard equipment also includes four digital PLC inputs and four outputs. An external monitor can be connected to the camera's integrated SVGA video output for maintenance and testing purposes.
