VC4067 EXview

Vision Components has introduced the new VC4067 EXview smart camera, which is based on a Sony EXview HAD CCD sensor and is suitable for applications that require high light sensitivity.

The camera can detect long wavelengths near the infrared spectrum for very precise image recording. The 2/3-inch CCD sensor has a 1,280 x 1,024 pixel resolution and provides a maximum frame rate of 14fps.

The camera makes use of an integrated 400MHz processor from Texas Instruments. With a processing power of 3,200 MIPS, the camera can perform complex image processing routines onboard, eliminating the need for external PCs.

Standard camera models are equipped with 4Mb Flash EPROM and 32Mb DRAM for program and picture storage, which can be extended with an optional 128Mb SD card. The smart camera features an RS232 and an Ethernet interface, and an external trigger input enables jitter-free image recording even at high reading frequencies.
