Vision Components has released a compact, Power over Ethernet (PoE)-enabled, intelligent camera series. The VC nano PoE cameras measure 76 x 45 x 40mm and weigh of 250g, making installations and interfacing in machines and factories easy. Even additional devices, such as lighting, lasers, and flash, can be supplied with power through the PoE connection of the integrated Modulport.
The VC nano PoE is equipped with a CS-mount lens holder and is housed in a robust industrial casing. With corresponding adapters, C-mount and S-mount lenses can be used as well. The camera series is available with four different CMOS sensors with resolutions ranging from 752 x 480 to 2,592 x 1,944 pixels, reaching a frame rate of 11.6 to 55fps at full resolution. Its integrated digital signal processor provides a computational power of up to 5,600 MIPS. Up to 32MB of flash memory and 128MB of DDRAM are available for program and image storage. The VC nano PoE features a total of 17 programmable digital inputs and outputs for integration into automation environments.
