UI-1640-C/UI-1550-C

IDS Imaging Development Systems has added two new models to its uEye series. The new colour cameras are equipped with the newest generation of 1/3-inch CMOS sensors with a light sensitivity that almost equals that of comparable CCD sensor technology.

The UI-1640-C provides a 1.3-Megapixel resolution (1,280 x 1,024) and the UI-1550-C offers a 2-Megapixel resolution (1,600 x 1,200). Both models feature a rolling shutter and a USB 2.0 port. They are available either with the standard metal housing and mini-B connector or as a uEye RE version with sealed, screw-mounted connectors. Besides a trigger input and an output that are both opto-decoupled, they also feature a C-mount lens connector and optional internal memory.

All uEye cameras are supplied with free software for the current Windows operating systems and Linux, including a software development kit (SDK) with demo programs for image acquisition and analysis, complete with source code. The software package further comprises a TWAIN driver, an ActiveX component and a DirectShow (WDM) interface for the users of standard software solutions.
