IDS Imaging Development Systems has released a GigE board-level project camera, the uEye LE. The camera measures only 45 x 45mm.

Thanks to its GigE interface, the camera offers frame rates of 50fps at full 1.3 Megapixel resolution. Cable lengths of up to 100 metres add great flexibility. The camera is perfectly suited for all industrial applications due to its digital in- and outputs for trigger, flash, pulse-width modulation, and two GPIOs.

Power (12-24V) is supplied via an external power supply. A M12 lens mount from Lensation is available as an option. The GigE uEye LE is equipped with the latest 1.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor from e2v and available as monochrome, colour or now also as NIR version.

Combined with the IDS software 4.01, the sensor offers a new Log mode for HDR images. This means details can be captured even in overexposed and high dynamic range scenes. Additionally, the sensor offers four shutter modes in total, making the camera a perfect fit for a great range of applications.
