Baumer has introduced the SX cameras incorporating Kodak's high performance CCD sensors. Using advanced Quad-Tap technology, these Kodak progressive scan interline sensors combine high frame rates with very low image noise. They are available with a resolution of either 1 or 2 Megapixels. The 1 Megapixel sensor is configured as a 1,024 x 1,024 pixel matrix and, depending on the number of output taps used, can achieve speeds of 120fps. The 2 Megapixel sensor has horizontal and vertical resolutions of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels respectively with speeds of up to 68fps. With an industrial housing measuring 52 x 52 x 72mm, the SX cameras integrate a very compact housing with a robust electronics design, making them the right choice for a wide range of applications. Camera Link Base serves as the digital interface for the cameras. This industrial interface provides a high data throughput with minimum latency time.
