Allied Vision expands Ahrensburg office

Allied Vision, a leading camera manufacturer with headquarters in Stadtroda, Thuringia, Germany expands its Ahrensburg office in Northern Germany. The subsidiary, where an important Research & Development (R&D) department is located, extended its office space capacity within its current office building. This expansion was a result of the rising number of employees, especially in R&D and Product Management. Plans for the office renovations and relocation of employees have been finalized and will be completed at the end of June.

Continued growth

The Ahrensburg office location, near Hamburg, is Allied Vision’s second largest office site in Germany, with over 80 employees. The corporate headquarters in Stadtroda is still the largest. The Ahrensburg office continues to grow as Allied Vision welcomed its 300th overall employee earlier this year. The office was near full capacity, limiting the possible growth of individual teams.
“The office expansion gives us the necessary flexibility to continue to grow without any space limitation”, says Frank Grube, President and CEO of Allied Vision Technologies GmbH.

Important R&D site

The Ahrensburg office is home to Allied Vision’s Research & Development department, where the extensive product portfolio of GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras is continuously developed and future camera models are created. Also, Allied Vision’s Software Development Kit (SDK), Vimba, is designed at this location.  Vimba allows for easy integration of Allied Vision cameras into new and existing vision systems. Allied Vision’s other R&D locations are in Osnabrück, Germany and Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. The Osnabrück location develops and produces Allied Vision’s high performance infrared cameras (from short wave to long wave infrared).
