Fujinon has released UV lenses to complement its comprehensive range of lenses for machine vision applications. The UV12.5 has a focal length of f=12.5 and is designed for 1/2-inch sensors, which allows a minimum object distance of 0.05m. The UV25 is designed for 1-inch cameras with a focal length of f=25mm.
These high resolution, C-Mount lenses provide excellent UV transmission, have an iris range of F2.5-F22, and are suitable for use in temperatures from -10°C to +50°C.
Application areas for UV-lenses include forensic science (medical as well as criminological) as well as machine vision applications, e.g. surface inspection of micro-chip devices.
