Basler AG was distinguished with the world-renowned "Axia Best Managed Companies Award 2020" for its outstanding corporate management and successful economic development. With this award, the management consulting firm Deloitte together with the magazine WirtschaftsWoche, the association BDI (Bundesverband der Deutschen Industrie e.V.) and Credit Suisse honor excellently managed and prospering medium-sized companies in Germany. The competition is held in parallel in over 20 countries worldwide.
The Basler Management Board and Norbert Basler, the company founder and current Chairman of the Supervisory Board, jointly received the award. CEO Dr. Dietmar Ley summarized, „We are very proud of the team performance of all managers and employees in the past years. This award is an incentive for us to develop the company continuously and decisively in order to continue our success“.
„The current situation around COVID-19 also poses enormous challenges for German medium-sized businesses. Our Best Managed Companies also stand for these qualities," added program manager Markus Seiz from Deloitte.
With this award, a top-class jury has honored Basler and other medium-sized companies as outstanding, particularly adaptable and highly global-oriented companies that are exemplary for the courage and innovative strength of the German economy. The companies were evaluated in the areas of strategy, productivity & innovation, culture & commitment and governance & finance. The award recipients demonstrated entrepreneurial excellence in all four areas.
