Steady growth for vision market

The vision industry has grown to a value of more than $3.6bn over the last two years, with an 8 per cent growth since 2005, says a new report released by VSI. The report analysed 36 public companies, and found a large proportion (41 per cent) of the market share is still occupied by North American companies.

The report provides a full financial analysis of the market, using Wall Street valuation measures to provide readers with an analysis of the productivity and profitability of business moves and acquisitions.

Charts provide an easy comparison between companies, and it provides an analysis of historical data since 1995 on nine companies, including Cognex, CyberOptics, Key Technology and Perceptron.
