Sony Europe has increased the range of expertise on offer through its celebrated Sony Vision Network, including specialists in data storage, manufacturing software, distribution and robot integration.

The four new members are: Machine Vision Direct (MVD), Silicon Systems, Shafi and Compar. The network provides customers reliable and compatible software and hardware combinations, and to provide specialist knowledge for a variety of projects.

‘Their breadth of expertise will complement our existing partners and further enable customers to seamlessly integrate Sony camera modules into their applications,’ said Arnaud Destruels, product marketing manager at Sony ISS.

The new members will provide expertise that had previously been missing from the network. Shafi will ease the application of Sony cameras in robotic applications using its own specialist software, while Silicon Systems is a Compact Flash manufacturer with guaranteed compatibility with Sony’s smart cameras. MVD and Compar will provide system integration.

Other existing members of the network include Euresys, FDS, I2S, Jencam, MaxxVision, MVTech, NeoVision, Tordivel, and Unibrain.
