Photonis appoint Brian Leedy as vice president

Photonis has announced the appointment of Brian Leedy as vice president and general manager of the Digital Imaging business unit, located in Texas, USA. Leedy will be responsible for managing the business unit and expanding its Digital Imaging market segments globally.

Leedy brings more than 27 years of experience of business and engineering expertise to Photonis, with experience in the aerospace, defence and commercial industries, across US and international operations. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Michigan State University and grew his career through a variety of prestigious companies, most recently as president of Cohu Electronics, a global supplier of video cameras.

Photonis USA president and CEO, Gregory Bell, said: ‘Brian has extensive experience in starting, growing and integrating businesses, business units and product lines, into markets including security, surveillance, HLS, transportation, medical, and machine vision. His success has been global, developing markets in North America, South America, Europe, Middle East, Australia and Asia. We look forward to expanding our product sales into many of these global markets.’
