Patrick Schwarzkopf announced as managing director of VDMA Robotics and Automation

Patrick Schwarzkopf has been appointed as the managing director of VDMA Robotics and Automation. He succeeds Thilo Brodtmann, who had been at the helm of the association for 15 years and has recently been nominated to become the new VDMA executive director as of 1 February 2015.

Schwarzkopf will focus on activities supporting the internationalisation process of the sector, its expansion into foreign markets and the development of novel application areas for robotics and automation technology.

VDMA Robotics and Automation currently has close to 250 member companies active in specialised association groups dedicated to integrated assembly solutions, machine vision and robotics.
