EMVA elects seventh member of board of directors

Michel Ollivier has joined the board of directors of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA). Ollivier is member of the Executive Board at Tiama Group and is responsible for Tiama's R&D activities. The French Tiama Group incorporates MSC and SGCC, which specialise in hollow glass inspection, and Luceo, which develops vision solutions for the food market.

Ollivier is joining the EMVA board with a clear focus on EMVA's future activities such as regional groups and country chapters, and managing the relationship between integrators and component suppliers. Ollivier said: ‘For me, the main objective of EMVA is to increase the competitiveness of its members. My personal objective will be to motivate more vision integrators to become members of the EMVA.’

According to the EMVA statutes, Ollivier has been invited as the seventh member of the EMVA board of directors by the current board members. The EMVA General Assembly – as the ultimate governing body of the EMVA – will be asked to approve this decision during its next meeting in Vienna.
