Firstsight Vision has published two new ‘Tech Tips’ on its website to explain the use of telecentric lenses and choosing lenses for infrared imaging systems. The new publications can be found by clicking on the ‘Tech Tips’ tab at www.visionelements.co.uk.

Telecentric lenses have traditionally been used mainly for high-precision gauging applications. The new Tech-Tip gives examples of other possible application areas where this specialist imaging technique can be used to good advantage.

With the upturn in IR sensitive camera availability and the additional benefits of an IR imaging system becoming apparent to the industrial imaging sector, a new Tech-Tip discusses the suitability of lenses for these systems.
