Berlin-based investors Cavalry Ventures and Merantix led the financing of Deltia.ai’s automated imaging systems that combine AI with station-mounted and bird-view cameras for use on production lines.

Using a combination of station-mounted cameras and bird-view cameras to generate millions of data points, Deltia.ai’s smart imaging systems then utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to track material and work steps via the video streams. Providing continuous analysis of the real-time video, the system can detect workpiece movements, cycle times and work step sequencing, with the resulting data bringing crucial insights on the performance of the processes.

Using the seed funding to reach more companies in the next 18-24 months, Deltia.ai’s fully automated solutions include a native algorithm that analyses aspects like hand movements and cycle times, then proposes improvements by highlighting areas of inefficiency. Without the need for manual labeling, monitoring or input of any kind, the automated system gathers thousands of production line data points to allow end users to improve their own systems.

Deltia.ai’s existing customers include major production facilities in machinery, electronics manufacturing and logistics, either looking to optimise the efficiency of their manual processes or for help with training and quality assurance.
