Tec Microscopes, suppliers of the Microtec range of light microscopes and accessories, has released the Microtec ScopePad, a 5 megapixel digital microscope camera. The camera provides digital imaging, storage and transmitting, and is equipped with stable, easy-to-use software.
The camera has a 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor offering 5 megapixels with selectable resolution, capturing images at 30fps at full resolution. It comes with a C-mount fitting enabling it to be easily attached to any make of microscope with the C-mount 0.5x adapter. The viewing screen can be tilted through 90 degrees making it ergonomically comfortable to work with.
The camera is operated via a multi-touch screen. It has a TF card slot and is able to support an external mouse and USB flash drives via a USB cable.
The measurement software enables multiple calculations, including measuring angles and area cell count. It also provides contrast and exposure control.
