GO-5100-USB

JAI announced a new camera in its Go Series -- the GO-5100-USB. The new camera features the 5.1-megapixel Sony PregiusTM IMX250 CMOS image sensor and comes with a high performance USB3 Vision interface that provides full resolution images at 74 frames per second.

Two models are available, a model providing 8, 10, or 12-bit monochrome output (GO-5100M-USB), and a color model (GO-5100C-USB) that provides 8, 10, or 12-bit raw Bayer output. The cameras feature a compact 2/3” optical format resulting from a 3.45-micron pixel size. This format is identical to the once popular Sony ICX625 CCD imagers, making the GO-5100-USB an excellent candidate for customers migrating from cameras built around the older CCDs to newer CMOS technology.

Like other Go Series cameras, the new models offer a rich set of features making them suitable for a wide range of systems and applications. Symmetrical and asymmetrical binning functions (1x2, 2x1, 2x2) are available in the monochrome model, while region-of-interest (ROI), lookup tables (LUT), sequencer trigger modes, auto level control (auto gain/shutter), and shading correction are offered in both monochrome and color models. A multi-ROI mode is also available, enabling users to define up to 64 non-overlapping regions of interest within a single field of view.

The GO-5100-USB features the small size (29 mm x 29 mm x 41.5 mm, excluding lens mount) and light weight (46 grams) of the Go Series, making the camera ideal for use in robotics or applications which require repetitive camera movement, as well as for any application where space is at a premium.

More importantly, the GO-5100-USB shares the same high durability features of the Go Series, including high shock and vibration resistance and an MTBF rating of over 180,000 hours of operation.

The cameras support standard C-mount lenses.
