Firecomms' OptoLock optical transceivers

Laser Components has added Firecomms' OptoLock optical transceivers to its product portfolio. The IDL301T-220 uses a plastic optical fibre (POF) and offers hardened immunity to EMI/EMC interference, as well as excellent ESD performance. Using an eye-safe resonant cavity light emitting diode (RCLED) and hybrid Si photodiode receiver within an easy-to-use connector housing, Ø1.5mm or Ø2.2mm white or black POF can be cut with a simple knife and pushed into the receptacles. It provides a 650nm 125Mb/s fibre optic transceiver fully IEEE 802.3u compliant for full control over 100Mb Ethernet.

Applications include any electrical noise environments for industrial vision, machine control, power systems control, wind-turbine control, solar panel tracking control and robotics.
