Imaging & Machine Vision Europe: Tell me about Siloton – what was the specific gap in the market that led to the founding of the company?

Alasdair Price: We started with the problem, and built the solution around that. My background is in quantum technologies, so I was building photonic chips for quantum computing applications. That involves developing devices for low-light environments, that need to process light in a very efficient way.
