Smartzoom 5

Share this on social media:

Zeiss has presented its automated digital microscope, the Smartzoom 5, at the trade show Control from 6-9 May. The device is a complete system comprised of an optical engine (a zoom, camera, and illumination), a stand with sample stage, objective lenses, an operating unit, and software.

Smartzoom 5 is suited to conducting failure analyses such as close examination of a defective part, as well as routine inspections, during which the same material sample needs to be repeatedly inspected using the same workflow. Once the quality inspector has placed the sample under the microscope, they no longer have to switch back and forth between the device and the software, but can carry out all the steps right on the screen.

The Best Image feature allows users to achieve optimal results by displaying a preview of different illumination options. The device can be used immediately without requiring any further adjustment.
