GigE Vision cameras offering latest IMX sensors

High performance 2nd generation Pregius CMOS sensors from Sony are proving very popular with many industrial camera manufacturers. STEMMER IMAGING can offer GigE Vision cameras from Allied Vision, JAI and Teledyne DALSA featuring the latest IMX264 5-megapixel and IMX265 3.2-megapixel sensors.

The IMX264 and IMX265 sensors are significantly lower cost alternatives to the highly popular IMX250 and IMX252 sensors. They offer the same resolution and provide the same imaging performance but operate at slower frame rates. Outstanding image quality is guaranteed as the IMX265 and IMX264 sensors have the same pixel size and structure and sensor format as the faster IMX 250 and IMX252 sensors. This means that they share the same sensitivity, dynamic range, low dark noise and good NIR sensitivity. The high sensitivity makes them particularly well-suited to applications where the light level is low.

The AV Manta G-507, JAI GO-5101-PGE and Teledyne DALSA Genie Nano-2420 cameras all feature the IMX264 sensor and all are available in both monochrome and colour versions. The sensor’s 3.45-micron square pixels enable the full resolution (2464 x 2056 pixels) to fit within a standard 2/3-inch C-mount optical format. This gives users a wider range of lens options than 5-megapixel cameras with typical 1” optical formats, and also makes these cameras ideal replacements for older CCD cameras built around Sony’s ICX625 sensors, which have an identical pixel size and optical format.

The AV Manta G-319 and the Teledyne DALSA Genie Nano-2020 cameras utilise the 3.2 megapixel (2048 x 1536 pixels) monochrome or colour IMX265 sensor. Each manufacturer has combined the sensors with their own particular camera characteristics, to produce GigE Vision models with many individual benefits. With this rich choice of cameras utilizing the same sensors available, STEMMER IMAGING is able to offer the camera that best meets the need of any individual application.
