DS1-D1312-160 and MV1-D1312-160 cameras

Photonfocus has introduced the monochrome DS1-D1312-160 camera, with Camera Link interface, based on the company's third generation CMOS imager A1312-160. The camera is equipped with all standard features needed for common applications whilst offering outstanding image quality.

The A1312 image sensor series is designed and fabricated in a 0.35µm CMOS technology optimised to achieve outstanding sensitivity and quantum efficiency. The resolution is 1,312 x 1,082 pixels, with 8 x 8µm square pixels and over 60 per cent fill factor. The sensor has an extended spectral range covering 350 to 1000nm and is responsive in the near infrared (NIR).

The DS1-D1312-160 camera delivers 110fps at full resolution with the possibility to further increase the speed to thousands of frames per second by reducing the ROI through horizontal and vertical windowing. The camera is also able to start capturing a new image while outputting the current image, thus maximising the available exposure time and frame rate.

Based on the same sensor technology, Photonfocus has also launched the monochrome MV1-D1312-160 camera with Camera Link interface. The camera provides a dynamic range of up to 120dB with LinLog technology patented by Photonfocus.

Both are 1.4 Megapixel cameras and operate at 110fps at full resolution.
