German-based provider of camera and illumination systems, Chromasens, has introduced Corona - a high performance LED line scan illuminator developed for line scan camera applications. Light intensity is up to 140,000 lux and the illuminator also provides maximum homogeneity.
It is modular so multiple units can accommodate large scanning areas without negatively influencing the homogeneity. The illuminator is available at lengths of 340mm and 680mm and can be equipped with white, red, IR, green, or blue LEDs. Each illumination unit is supplied with an external controller. This allows the user to control the intensity using PC software.
