Condor-1000 MS5 285

Quest Innovations has released the Condor-1000 MS5 285. The model is a 2/3-inch prism camera based on the Sony ICX285 sensor, an interline CCD solid-state image sensor with a square pixel array. Three sensors capture the red, green and blue visible colours, while the remaining two are used for near infrared bands 700-850nm and 850-1,000nm.

For each channel it provides a programmable LUT and independent gain and exposure control. All channels are synchronised to prevent motion aberration between channels.

The size of an image sensor is an important factor when choosing a sensor, since larger sensor sizes can have higher resolutions and larger pixel sizes. With its sensor diagonal of 2/3 inch, the Condor-1000 MS5-285 combines 1.4 Megapixels with a large pixel area of 6.45 x 6.45µm. In combination with its high sensitivity and low noise this makes it ideal for low light conditions.
