Datalogic Automation has introduced its A- and T-series smart cameras designed for quick and compact integration of machine vision applications.
The cameras are supplied with Impact software pre-loaded, and all come in rugged right-angle enclosures IP67 rated, perfect for integration in harsh washed down industrial environments. The smart cameras provide waterproof cover to protect the optics and industrial grade connectors: one for Gigabit Ethernet LAN and one for power supply, discrete I/O and serial connection.
The more compact A-series models run a 660MHz processor, while T-series uses a more powerful 1.1GHz processor and a larger heat sink.
The cameras are based on high quality CCD sensors ranging from VGA provided on the A30 and T40 to 2 and 5 Megapixel resolution found on T47 and T49. All models accept C-mount lenses.
The smart cameras come with a special pre-installed real-time operating system to offer highly deterministic timing and precise output of vision operations; all models have 512MB RAM for complex applications.
Datalogic has also introduced the Matrix 450, 2D image-based reader dedicated to mid-range applications in the transportation and logistics industry.
