24B5.0XUSB3

Videology has launched its new camera module 24B5.0XUSB3 with a resolution of 5 megapixels and USB 3.0 Vision interface. The module is the first in a series of cameras designed to work with the image processing firmware developed in-house by Videology. OEMs and developers can incorporate individual IPs on the FPGA or use customer-specific adaptations. The compact board camera is available from FRAMOS, the image processing specialist.

The 24B5.0XUSB3 camera is equipped with a 1/2.5" CMOS image sensor with rolling shutter and offers a particularly high level of light sensitivity into the near-infrared range. The frame rate reaches 14 fps at full resolution (2592 x 1944V), and up to 120 fps are possible with VGA resolution. In addition to the USB3 output, the model comes with a parallel BT.1120 (10-bit) video output. This means a connection is available for external video processing or analysis, allowing the USB and BT.1120 connections to be used simultaneously.

At 32x32 mm, the double board comes in a small and thus easy-to-integrate design. The inputs and outputs are configurable, the 24B5.0XUSB3 is DirectX, DirectShow and UVC-compliant as well as compatible with Windows® (7, 8 and 10) and Linux platforms. A complete SDK is available.

The industry and product experts at FRAMOS have specialist knowledge ranging from sensor to system, and provide customer support for the integration of new camera modules into applications and projects. As a partner, FRAMOS assists with services such as technical advice, component selection, development support, customer-specific adaptations and logistics services.
