VRmC-8+ and VRmC-9+/BW

VRmagic has launched two USB 2.0 cameras - VRmC-8+ and VRmC-9+/BW - with a small form factor in board. Board dimensions are 32 x 32mm.

The aluminium housing, with outer dimensions of 36 x 36 x 27mm, has a C-mount connection for standard lenses. The cameras are equipped with a ½-inch CMOS sensor with rolling shutter and also feature a standard mini USB B connection with high-speed USB 2.0 (EHCI).

The colour camera VRmC-8+ operates with the Bayer RGB matrix and pixel size is 3.2 x 3.2μm. Possible image rates are 13fps with a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, 35fps with 1024 x 768 pixels or 50fps with 640 x 480 pixels.

The monochrome model VRmC-9+/BW has a pixel size of 5.2 x 5.2μm. Possible image rates are 30fps with 1280 x 1024 pixels or 109fps with 640 x 480 pixels.

Like all cameras from VRmagic, the models offer freely programmable exposure times; access to uncompressed raw sensor data; a latency-optimised software trigger; time stamps and frame counters; memory for nine user configurations on the camera; 24kB memory for user data; as well as freely definable regions of interest. No additional frame grabber hardware is required for camera operation.
