Neon-CL frame grabber

Share this on social media:

Alrad Imaging has introduced the Neon-CL PoCL frame grabber from Bitflow, a US manufacturer of imaging products. Using the frame grabber, Camera Link can support simple, one-cable installations while providing data rates up to 255 Megabytes per second.

The Neon-CL provides the performance of PCI Express bus with a low price point. It can acquire from all Base CL cameras and has enough industrial I/O to handle complicated synchronisation tasks.

Adding the frame grabber to an application is simple with the Bitflow SDK, which supports both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. The SDK provides high level APIs for sophisticated buffer management and low-level direct access to the board for speedy custom control.

The Neon-CL2 is a new board for two camera applications. Two Base CL cameras can be connected to this board allowing dual camera applications to be undertaken easily and simply. The I/O connection is via a flying lead to the board.
