  • Available as single board version

GigE Vision Gigabit Ethernet industrial camera - mvBlueCOUGAR-X now available with IMX249 Sony sensor

The Gigabit Ethernet camera mvBlueCOUGAR-X is compliant to the GigE Vision® and GenICam™ image processing standards. The latest building blocks are used in one of the smallest yet rock solid housing in our industry. The camera is optimized for both machine vision tasks, relying on high frame rates combined with low latency image transport and on the other hand the images can be precisely optimized for viewing applications in life science and medical applications, where the utmost realistic image quality in terms of shades in gray scale and colour fidelity, combined with best sensitivity and signal-to-noise ratio are required. Thanks to a firmware update the mvBlueCOUGAR-X104f with the new IMX249 CMOS global shutter sensor by Sony reaches a frame rate of 41 images per second at full resolution. The new IMX249 CMOS sensor is a member of the IMX Sensor family by Sony which are well-known for their image quality comparable to that of CCD sensors, which makes the sensors suitable for a multitude of applications.

Features include:-

  • Compact industrial camera series with Gigabit Ethernet
  • CCD and CMOS high quality sensors from VGA up to 10 megapixels
  • Up to 41 frames per second with new IMX 249 sensor
  • Gray scale colour and NIR ( near infrared) versions
  • Hardware pre-processing on board by way of FPGA reducing the CPU load of the host
  • Highest resolution ADC
