Kappa has released the Kalypso 023-USB CMOS camera series. The camera features an Aptina sensor, rugged construction and high signal quality. The operating temperature is between -20°C and +80°C. The 1/3-inch cameras with global shuttering come equipped with an USB 2.0 interface and offer 10-bit digitisation depth at a resolution of 752 x 480 pixel (WVGA). With linear sensor characteristics the cameras achieve more than 55dB, while in the high dynamic range mode more than 80dB is possible.

Kalypso is used for industrial and non-industrial image processing applications. An ultra-compact construction (50mm diameter and 29mm width) allows installation in confined spaces, or in a customer-specific design.
