Flir Systems, a manufacturer of infrared cameras, has published an IR Automation Guidebook. The 48 page publication is designed to provide a roadmap through the major issues that should be addressed in IR-integrated system design.
The guide covers the principles of thermographic measurement and the processes of IR camera integration. It offers advice on data communication interfaces, command and control of the infrared camera, interfacing with a PC or PLC controller and provides an overview of the standard software packages available.
