High speed 3D image acquisition device for widefield microscope

Share this on social media:

PhaseView releases a new high speed 3D image acquisition device compatible with any widefield microscope.

Many biological processes require fast 3D imaging capabilities for the understanding of transient events. However, the current methods based on mechanical motion for scanning the sample depth are relatively slow and may induce vibrations and image distortion.

ThunderScan integrates an innovative fast remote focusing method with no movement of the microscope stage or objective. 3D acquisition can be achieved at camera frame rate while the biological specimen remains in a fixed position. When associated with high speed sensitive cameras, ThunderScan provides real time Z-stack acquisition enabling new 3D imaging capabilities for brightfield and fluorescence microscopy.
