The Mikrotron EoSens Creation 2.0CXP2 camera allows engineers to embed custom IP (image processing) algorithms into its programmable Xilinx Kintex UltraScale FPGA. Powerful and fast, the Xilinx FPGA processes video streams at the edge up to 5 GB/s, therefore reducing network congestion, latencies, and CPU workloads while improving response times.

Exceptionally reliable, the Xilinx FPGA has additional external memory and more processing power than many high-end PCs, opening up a new world of possibilities for developing precise, tailored solutions for mission-critical imaging applications. GenICam compliant for added versatility, the EoSens Creation 2.0CXP2 can be tailored to a wide range of machine vision applications including laser triangulation, inspection, sorting, additive manufacturing and metrology, among others. Engineers will appreciate its open platform concept with clear separation between the basic camera functions and the application IP.

Equipped with a LUX19HS 2Mpix CMOS sensor, the EoSens Creation 2.0CXP2 combines high resolution streaming with the lightning speeds of the CXP-12 interface, switchable between 1, 2 or 4 links depending on requirements with each link powerful enough to deliver 12.5 Gbps. As a result, the camera is capable of streaming video at 1920 x 1080 resolution images at 2240 frames-per-second (fps), or a maximum 170,575 fps at lower resolutions, when utilizing all four CXP lanes.

In low light environments, the camera's 20V/Lux @ 550nm sensitivity helps capture high-contrast, richly detailed images, while its 60dB dynamic range enables acquires usable data in both the darkest and brightest areas of an image.
