Edmund Optics has introduced its Techspec UV-NIR Neutral Density (ND) filters. These filters are used to attenuate light from the ultraviolet (UV) to the near-infrared (NIR) for use in a variety of applications.
The ND filters exhibit excellent parallelism of less than 5 arcseconds. They provide ultra-broadband performance from 190-1,700nm. The UV-NIR neutral density filter kit includes all optical densities and is available in 12.5, 25 and 50mm diameter sizes.
The filters are suited to a range of applications, including spectroscopy, machine vision, or ellipsometry. They are also appropriate for use with low power lasers. They can be stacked to create intermediate density values for optimal value and ease of use.
