Lumenera has announced the release of the Lw570 and Lw575 series of colour Megapixel USB 2.0 cameras, designed for use in a variety of industrial and scientific applications where high resolution and low-light performance are required.
This cost-effective 5-Megapixel CMOS camera series offers a unique combination of frame rates and resolution (7fps at full 2592 x 1944 resolution, up to 60fps through sub-windowing). Excellent image quality and high fidelity colour are key characteristics of this camera’s 1/2.5-inch Micron sensor. Other features include high dynamic range, on-board processing, and DirectShow connectivity. Uncompressed images such as streaming video and still image capture are provided across a high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. No frame grabber is required. Advanced camera control is available through a complete Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications.
Custom variants for the Lw570 and Lw575 are available where the standard off-the-shelf products do not meet exact requirements.
