GigE cameras

The Imaging Source, a manufacturer of industrial cameras, has launched a series of small GigE cameras with auto iris control.

The cameras are supplied in compact, robust, industrial casings (29 x 29 x 57mm) with a C/CS lens mount. Thanks to the camera's auto iris control, powered auto iris lenses can be driven.

The colour, monochrome and Bayer models are available with resolutions from VGA to 5 megapixels, with a frame rate of up to 150fps. They are ideally suited to machine vision applications in automation, traffic surveillance, quality assurance, medicine, logistics, microscopy, and security.

Integrating the cameras into existing software applications takes only a few lines of code. Drivers for LabView, Halcon, DirectX, Twain and WDM are included.

All camera parameters and settings can be set via the supplied software. Furthermore, a number of automatic modes are available, which provide optimal image quality in varying lighting conditions. The cameras have drivers for Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8, the SDK IC Imaging Control 3.2 (.NET and C++ class library) and IC Capture.
