The Automated Imaging Association (AIA) has promoted Dana Whalls to the role of managing director. Whalls has served as marketing and public relations manager for the AIA since 2004. She has more than 18 years of experience in marketing, business development and finance.

SensL, the supplier of low light detectors and modules, is pleased to announce the opening of their US office in Mountain View, California. It is still maintaining its current offices in Cork, Ireland.

Goodrich is to enter a second phase of work with The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (Darpa) on the development of indium gallium arsenide (InGaAs), visible and shortwave infrared focal plane arrays for use in passive, night vision imaging systems. They now aim to increase the resolution and sensitivity of the camera.
