Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions
Sony Europe’s Image Sensing Solutions division will unveil a new series of global-shutter CMOS cameras. The series use the Camera Link v2.0 standard and delivers 5.1 megapixel images at up to 154fps. It is based on the 2/3-type Exmoor CMOS sensor with Pregius technology.
The module has been created by the Sony engineering team to extract the best-possible image from the Pregius sensor – even in low light conditions. The camera is suitable for sectors including: ITS, factory automation, food and beverage inspection, and pharmaceutical applications.
Sony will also preview new technologies due to be rolled out in 2017. The Sony stand will also feature advanced 3D imaging demonstrations using time-of-flight technology by SoftKinetic, acquired by Sony in October 2015.
