At the show, Sofradir will exhibit its latest SWIR sensor, Snake SW, for machine vision applications.

Snake SW is a very low noise, high-speed sensor that offers excellent performance at room temperature. It is complementary to standard cameras based on CCD or CMOS sensors currently used in vision cameras for process control. Unlike visible sensors that can only capture what the human eye can see, Snake SW can detect a whole range of defects and imperfections in fruit and vegetables, glassware, metal surfaces and other materials that have previously gone unnoticed.

Due to its longer wavelength detection (900nm to 1700nm), its ability to detect reflective light and its hot object imaging capabilities, Snake SW allows vision cameras to sort, recycle and inspect more efficiently and effectively. Sofradir will describe at its booth the applications, advantages and benefits that Snake SW brings to camera manufacturers and production line operators.
