The European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) will exhibit at the International Machine Vision Standards booth, where machine vision experts will present the most commonly used digital interface standards in the industry in their current versions, and stand by for advice on which standard should be used best for a certain application.

This year, the 10th anniversary of GenICam – the Generic Interface for Cameras standard – will be celebrated at the booth commonly hosted by EMVA, AIA, VDMA and the Japan Industrial Imaging Association (JIIA). The standard, which is hosted by the EMVA, provides a generic programming interface for all kinds of cameras and devices and offers a standard application programming interface (API) for all types of interface technology. By using the GenICam API, a user has the freedom to select the camera and interface technology that fits best with their requirements without the need to change their application software.
