Implementing AI in Vision Systems

The focus of this webinar will be the opportunities and challenges of improving the capabilities of imaging systems.

The webinar will have four presentations from experts covering overviews of the opportunity, implementation techniques and case studies.

The event is aimed at both the users of technology, who want to understand the capabilities of technologies, as well as product development engineers, designers and product managers who are looking to improve the capabilities of the systems that they design.

EPIC meeting on precision agriculture

Photonics applications are emerging in farms, such as the use of UAVs for monitoring soil and crop health or water supply quality. The purpose is to discuss with end-users opportunities in this sector for lidar, hyperspectral imaging, laser systems or fiber sensors.

EPIC meeting on endoscopy

Future endoscopic cameras will integrate Raman, OCT and broad field of view hyperspectral cameras. The meeting will discuss the challenges in the integration of biocompatible microoptics, specialty fibres and detectors with the medical system integrators.

EPIC meeting on structured light and computer vision

The impact of lidar in automotive has been replicated by the application of structured light approaches in machine and computer vision systems. The ultimate paradigm shift is restore vision to the blind. A discussion between photonics hardware, software and users is needed.

SPIE Photonex and Vacuum Expo

The SPIE Vacuum Expo is the UK’s premier event dedicated coatings, coating and deposition systems, components, chambers, deposition systems, detectors, gauges and instruments, manipulators, pumps and more. In-vacuum technology will also be on display including technologies such as cameras, fibre optics, motion control equipment, spectrometers, many in the co-located Photonex exhibition.

AIA Vision Week

AIA brings a full week of educational conference sessions, keynote speakers and connection to the industry’s top suppliers showcasing the latest vision and imaging technologies.

Participation is free, and anyone working with vision and imaging technologies – or those who would like to – are encouraged to register.

Registrants will get access to educational sessions taught by vision experts, where they'll learn how vision can help increase profitability, improve throughput, reduce defects, comply with regulations, solve automation problems and more!

EMVA 1288 online training

Participants will gain experience with EMVA 1288 standard measurements, using the required measuring equipment. They will learn the optimum setup, and how to analyse the results. The course is targeted to all who applies the EMVA 1288 standard, either in development or when testing and comparing cameras. The speaker is Prof. Dr. Bernd Jähne, a member of the EMVA board with many years of experience in teaching and education.
