Thermographic consultancy work benefits from flexible high-res camera

Infrared Imaging Solutions has selected Flir Systems Thermacam P640 to help with its varied thermographic consultancy work. The camera was chosen for its high resolution across a wide temperature range.

The conditions of Infrared Imaging’s work could vary from reporting on the thermal performance of a building to the rugged conditions of the manufacturing process, so the camera had to be very flexible.

‘We now have the confidence of knowing that it can be used in any situation we come across, says Martin Burton, ISS’s managing director. ‘It has no limitations.’

The camera has a resolution of 640 x 240, with a range double that of previous models, allowing more complex image analysis. The larger images came in particularly useful in building thermography, meaning fewer images were necessary.
