Allied Vision Technologies opens Shanghai office

Allied Vision Technologies (AVT) has opened a sales office in Shanghai, China. Located at the heart of the Xuhui district, the Shanghai office will oversee AVT’s expanding business in mainland China and will provide technical support and customer service to local clients.
Qingtao (James) Liu, sales manager at AVT (Shanghai), said: ‘It’s a great and exciting challenge to support customers in such a fast-paced environment. With the full support of the AVT group, I am confident that we can provide high quality products, excellent service and high customer satisfaction to our partners and customers in China.’
Liu has a background in electronic engineering and 15 years’ experience working in the semiconductor, consumer electronics and manufacturing industries in China and South Korea.
‘The Chinese market is one of the largest machine vision markets in the world and has tremendous potential,’ said Frank Grube, president and CEO at AVT. ‘We are truly excited to strengthen our position in East Asia with the addition of a second sales office in the region and also to further reinforce AVT’s position as a worldwide leading manufacturer of industrial cameras.’
The Shanghai office is AVT’s second location in the Asia-Pacific region, with its Singapore site overseeing sales activities in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, India, Australia and New Zealand.
